BEACHES

Mauna Kea Beach located at the Mauna Kea Hotel just 10-15 minutes north on Hwy 19. Tell the guard you want to use the beach. If the lot is full tell them you are going to have lunch at the beachside Hau Tree Restaurant and use the valet to park your car. (Free parking, just tip your valet.) Mauna Kea also has a weeklt Lau and a Clambake. We love the morning buffet ar their Pavillion Restaurant.

Wailea Beaches (Beach 69.) Beach 69 is great for snorkeling and diving. A great beach to go to on a windy day. Trees protect beachgoers from unwanted wind. Beach 67, on the north side of the balck rock, is smaller and frequented by naturists. On Hwy. 19 at Mile Marker 71, turn into Puako Village, then right onto old Puako Road. You will see the parking lot on the left about 1/4 mile down the road.
GOLF ANYONE!!!

There are many great couses on the Big Island. Some of our favorites are Mauna Kea, Big Island Country Club, Mauna Lani, and of course Waikoloa Beach Course which our unit backs to. We recommend using Tee Time Hawaii for last minute reservations. Our unit offers discount golf at both the Waikoloa Beach Resort courses. Guests are also able to play in special tournaments that might be taking place during your stay at the member price.
